When I boot my mac, I get a picture of an icon of a folder, with a question mark in the corner of it. Then the Apple logo comes up and it boots normally. I can't remember when this first happened, but it may have coincided with my deletion of my bootcamp partition.

Any ideas? I've booted from the OSX DVD and verfied/repaired. Everything seems to be ok. I've no performance issues either.

Try going into System Preferences > Startup Disk > then select your OS X partition.
