whats app and 4k downloader not installing :(

why is it I cannot open whatsapp that’s just been downloaded from App Store, it says I’m not connected to internet which is impossible, all other things that require wifi are working. Any ideas how to get round this? in mac air absolutely np, why not for new macpro 14? same problem for 4k downloader, please see attachment

Look at System Settings - Network : are both Macs connected to the same WiFi or other network connection ?.

Click on the one being used, then click the Details button & pick DNS in the left pane & see if each is using the same DNS settings; switch to Proxies & do the same.
