What's Faster - WD MyCloud or Time Capsule

I need a storage device and a backup device. I'm wondering what will be the fastest... An external 2TB HD connected to the USB port of a Time Capsule... Or, WD MyCloud plugged in via Ethernet to the Time Capsule?

Depends or the speed of wireless and the speed of your internal network wiring.

And a few WD's and scrapped them. Too buggy, harder to manage than they should be. My Time Capsules have never failed me.

I used my MyCloud device for time machine for a month. My advice would be to steer clear. Multiple backup failures, and had to delete and start from scratch many times. Add to that a slow and poor ui. I now use a Mac mini running OS X server, which has been 100% reliable over the last six months. I would expect a time capsule to be as equally reliable.
