You macrumorers went and got my hopes up for a new ibook, aka macbook this week. And all of a sudden the day the storms supposed to hit the sky clears. What gives.

There could still be a MacBook coming in the next few days. There's not really any solid evidence to suggest that there will/won't be a MacBook.

The iBook line is much due for an update. Just be patient. I can almost guarantee that by September there will be a new iBook/MacBook

Don't worry. They'll be here way before September for the edu market.

I'm pretty sure he was just joking here. Obviously September was a safety blanket. Hell, we might even see the next PowerMac at least introduced by then.

For what it's worth, I think April or May at the latest... They want to get them out and in the hands of students and educators. Wait to long and they will miss the market. I see a quiet update on the website, not a media event, that introduces the MacBook.

Hope its soon i'm in need of a laptop. But don't want to spend 800 on a use 12 powerbook. Hopefully they'll make a new 12 powerbook, something small and cheap but current. Can't hold on much longer.

in two minuetes the macbook pro will be released.

it's really opinions, theories, rumors, and speculation. it's rarely reliable.

my estimate is that it's in May.

10 months for update is pretty reasonable. the update for the powerbook from april 2004 to january 2005 took 10 months too. so it is a reasonable time.

oh, how about this: when windows vista is released, or the phantom gaming console is released.

The iMac was updated faster than 10 months. I just hope we'll get it before May 12th! (confirmation!!:D )

You really gotta learn to understand the definition of Rumors.

There is always someone on this site that claims that Apple is gonna release the latest and greatest on whatever date seems somewhat significant.

If I was a betting man, I would say that Apple will either release the iBook replacement this week, or they won't.

Waiting until June would be a very BAD decision. Many students receive a laptop as their High School Graduation present, which is usually sometime in the beginning of June.

Apple should release them in early May at the latest.
