What's initial macOS Version for iMac Pro ?

Subject: What's initial macOS Version for iMac Pro ?

I'm curious to know what the macOS Version is when people start receiving their iMac Pro machines.
I'm also curious to know if the App Store indicates there's a pending macOS update required and what its version is.

Yes, that's what I would expect, but I'm really wanting to know if it's 10.13.2 GM or even 10.13.3 (Build 17D***) early release), or maybe some other special build.

I think it's places in California only, and if it was the Rockies, surely John Denver's Rocky Mountain High would be appropriate, given that Craig Federighi goes on stage fully baked.

Sounds exactly right.

I'm hoping 10.13.4 or something will turn on Hey, Siri, which is apparently already fully baked into 10.13, and the iMac Pro has four microphones which can probably let it do far-field pickup.

Looks like MKBHD’s came with build 17C2111, as weirdly indicated by the drive name. (Plus a matching benchmark: https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/5333497). I guess the build you mention is a newer update that shipping units might come with.

I was told that on Dec 20 Beta versions of macOS will include support for iMac Pro and that this beta version is in the field for early testers who have the iMac Pro. So we should know the answer more accurately I assume.

The 10.13.3 beta releases are at "17D" prefix already. So a "17C" prefix is associated with 10.13.2 and is unlikely for 10.13.3 beta releases that address the iMac Pro.
