They say FaceID is better on the newer models - does anyone know what this means?

Looking at the specs I feel like it would be called FaceID 2 or something if it was different/better than the X.

Also, will the new phones unlock in landscape mode? Hopefully the people who had hands on with the units today were able to get some answers.

Personally I think FaceID already works great on the iPhone X, but I think they mentioned everything is faster on the new models. I assume that means less lag on FaceID? I don't experience significant lag very often, but sometimes it's there.

Too bad they weren't able to make it work in landscape orientation. That is probably coming with the next iPad.

Why not just set up a second date while holding the phone in landscape? Would that work?
