Just FYI for those buying accessories for the iPad Mini 5. Although the body is identical to the Mini 4, there is an ever so slight difference in the placement of the volume buttons and a different placement of the rear-facing microphone.
That won't cause any issues with something like a smartcover, but for full cases there might need to be some modifications.
I bought a Zagg keyboard case (designed for the Mini 4) for use with my Mini 5. The cutouts for the volume buttons were wide enough to handle the differences, but I had to use a dremel tool to drill a hole in the back for the microphone.
Two accessories I highly recommend getting for the Mini 5 are Apple's smartcover (I was able to pick up a Product (RED) smartcover for $5 new) and the Zagg keyboard case (can easily be found new for $20 or less).
The smartcover keeps the Mini 5 lean-and-mean as a tablet / ereader. (I also use the Apple Pencil with it so I use one of those stick-on Pencil sleeves on a 2nd smartcover). The Zagg keyboard turns the Mini 5 into a super-portable netbook.
