I search the App store every day, and it seems theres just nothing good anymore. I may find an app I like once a week or maybe even once a month. So I was wondering, is there an app that you've been waiting to find in the app store but never have? I have, and I just found it today, it's called "Ping!" it's like BBM but for iPhone.

What apps would you like to see? Maybe it will give an insight to developers and maybe someday that app will be available for you in the app store.

Just curious.

Although this thread could slightly entice programmers to make better app offerings, its not served well in this forum. In the generic iPhone forum this thread would get the attention it deserves.

Personally I tried PING and its BUGGY as hell. Great idea to bring to iPhone but its SLOW to receive pings, sends duplicate pings (yes one press is done), and its auto rotation is not coded right as its the only app I have buggy on my 2wk old, 4 screens full of apps on my 16GB Black 3GS. It got uninstalled in less than 24hrs.

Ping has great potential but it needs to be updated in features, updated from the ground up as an application and the server push notifications is having trouble doing its job with just this app.

Ping is not like BBM. It's a glorified IM and I bought BeeJive for that...

Actually, App Store forum (where it has been moved), please. Discussion of apps that specifically run on top of Jailbreak (i.e. apps that install via Cydia or Installer) can be done in the iPhone Hacks forum also. Thanks!

A replacement (well, way better than?) for Healthfile on the Palm. It doesn't run well on my Treo.....

Winkpass has indicated they will be adding features to Illness Tracker, which will rock, but meanwhile i wait. INcluded in this would also be a way to log what was worked on at various "therapies" (Speech, OT for us). Parents of "Special Needs" kids have a lot of data to carry around and track.

I'd also like an app that would gather sale ads for me. I don't get the paper (they can't find my house  ), so i need to read grocery ads online. It's a PITA, and it would be much nicer to jump into an App and click on meat and see what is on sale that week. To take it further i'd like to have store have free wifi in their stores (because i have a Touch and an iPhone isn't going to happen unless it is on Verizon) and provide me with coupons/specials when i go there (only allow the wifi to go to their website/app somehow - that is fine by me).

I'd also like Apple to allow outside writing to the Calendar....

A great finance app that has nice graphics, an easy interface, graphs, fast entry, account support, and all syncs online somehow as back up. There are some superb money managers out there, the latest being [app]Active Money Pro[/app], but none of them can back up except via LAN, and I don't have LAN.
