Whats the best conversion application? (on windows)

To convert videos I currently was converting the videos with my macbook but I have a new desktop I want to put in good use since it has more power then my mac book....

Any Paying Apps that are good is that what your currently using?

Also for DVD to Apple TV?

Unless it's a very high end Athlon X2 you won't see that much of a gain over Core 2. It will be nice having two machines to convert video though.
