I know many of us are buying a 1GB iMac and swapping out or just adding an additional 2GB stick. What is the best deal out right now. Many I see are about $100. Please share your cost and at which website/store. TIA

OWC(macsales) has 2x2GB kits (4GB total) for 159 + shipping

I bought 4GB from newegg.com for 127 shipped...

Be careful to read the fine print on rebates. Often, there's a "one item per household" restriction. If you buy two identical items, you might be eligible for only one rebate.

...nothin' in TheRuleBook sez it has to make sense,

Can you buy 2 of those so you can upgrade to 4 GB, or do you have to buy a paired kit of 2 x 2 GB to do that?

If you can, that's a great deal.

I bought two, they were the same module, and the 4GB works fine... I ran memtest86+ and memtest on them for days without any errors.

Even if you can claim only one rebate, its still a good deal as Corsair is generally well regarded memory.

http://www.dealram.com is a good place to get a feel for what memory is costing these days.

Those are some great deals.

ARe the corsair lifetime warranty (fry's does not mention, while newegg does)?

how about owc?

any other deals?

I like buying stuff from Amazon. Free shipping and no tax. Just bought dual sticks (1gb x 2) for my iMac. Heck, I bought my iMac from Amazon as well last year. No tax, free shipping. I can't get enough of that.

The mushkin.com online store has some good prices at the moment -- slightly cheaper than newegg:

1 x 2GB "Mushkin Value Memory" @ $72 per stick

1 x 2GB "Perfectmatch for Apple" @ $81 per stick

Flat-rate US-snail first class @ $3 per order

...and no mail-in-rebate foolishness!

Good eye. Muskin makes good stuff. I opted for some PQI on newegg @ 59/stick.. lifetime warranty. I hope it's not poo for memory. Good thing I have 30 days to figure that out. (126.xx shipped for 4GB)
