Trying to get my sold and have been googling different sites. Don't wanna go with ebay as the fees are way to high. CL is an option. I found the website http://www.cashforiphones.com. Has anyone used it? They are offering me $290 for a 3g 16gb iphone. Seems like a decent deal as I don't know the current prices. What would you guys suggest?

Craigslist if you don't want to do ebay.

That web site doesn't have good reviews.

I recently used that website. They offered me $170 for my first edition 16gb in pretty good condition. After they receive and examine it thoroughly they will reduce their offer if any marks or scratches, even minor. You can accept new offer or have them return it to you. Not sure if they pay return shipping.

The way to make the most money is to unlock the iPhone and then sell the iPhone on eBay but have it shipped worldwide. Trust me, that's what I've had the most success with.

And if you are worried about shipping it worldwide, just make sure the buyer has a PayPal confirmed address.

Heard bad things about that site.
They will give you a great estimate at first and after they receive it they will make you an offer way less then the first.
Go with CL or ebay or sell it locally to someone you know.

its just the phone. you still think i would get a good deal worldwide even after fees and shipping?

Well they can pay extra for shipping. But if you don't have the cords and stuff then i'm not sure. If it isn't too big of deal then just put it up on craigslist, because that's the fastest way.

that's what I was thinking.

thanks for the input

I always use craigslist with every iPhone that I sell. Usually sell it within the first day or two.

do you think it would make a difference if i sold it now as opposed to when the next jailbreak/unlock was released?

I would go with Ebay, you will probably have the best success rate there and no that it is a done deal. Others may be a bit sketchy. Craiglists might be something to check out as well. Good luck in your sale though I hope it goes well.
