What is the CHEAPEST you were able to get your macbook pro for?
Must be brand new. Tell what kind of mbp you have, how much you got it for, where/how you got it?
If you bought it at retail please don't post.
Thanks

$1489 tax free on Fort Lewis.

25% off employee discount =] I used my friend's so I got the 2.66 ghz unibody june 2009 one for $1500.00

$900 MBP13 2.26

Drove from Seattle to Portland to take advantage of the free tax. Used student discount. Sold iPod Touch a day later for $200.

$1300 (MBP13" 2.26 + iPod Touch)
-$200 (iPod Touch rebate)
-$200 (iPod Touch Sold)

$900 Total.

$1550 (after tax) on a first-gen unibody 2.53. They were originally going for $2,500. I got it on the Apple refurb section, but it arrived in box seemingly brand new.

Wow...that's good price...I wished I live or at least close to a tax free (weekend) state.:(

Anyway....I got mine NEW MBP 13" 2.26 for ~ $1023

$1194 MBP (Macxxxx - can I say the e-retailer name here?)
- $100 Rebate
- $ 72 CB @ online CB site

= ~ $1023

Well....that's IF i can get all the rebate/CB that is....*finger crossed*

I think it is a pretty good deal especially if you are like me approching the end of the 1-year comp. warranty of the 08 uMB.
I sold my 08 uMB 13 2.0 for ~ $900 so I only have to put in additional $123 to get a brand new machine - which cost significantly lesser than the AppleCare Extended Warranty (ebay aside...still don't know should I trust those crazy price)
For additional $123 I got a newer version machine and a full year warranty...works for me...til Arrandale....^^

$1599

2008 Macbook Pro 2.5 (just before unibody)

I got it the day after the unibody ones came out, plus I got the student discount at my campus bookstore. :)

I love it!

$1500
unibody macbook pro 17'' current base model going for 2499.
glossy 2.8/500gig HDD.

legit, not stolen, and it came with a 3yr pro warranty ($349 retail)
Was bought in July and kept in box still sealed until I fell upon it. So, I guess I don't apply in some ways, but it was brand new in MY eyes lol.

I got it from a socal doctor who bought two and was only using one of them, keeping the other in box sealed as a present or for use at home. Didn't have a need for it after a month, and I grabbed it in less than a minute. Guess he didn't mind losing over $1000 to help out a macfiend =\.

...you got a deal, I'd actually use the 17" MBP for that price:D

$1439 for 2.53 uMBP 15" w/ Applecare.

The discount line on my receipt shows "-$1060.00"

I bought it from the reseller I work for.

Ahaha, exactly what I said when I ran to pick it up. Moving from my mba and my mbp 13'', the 17'' was a big difference lol. Now i'm struggling to find a backpack to fit it in..
