What's the current max sixe for a MBP 2.5" HDD?

I am looking to replace my MBP Hard Disk. At 250GB it just doesn't have enough room. Is 500GB still the largest 2.5" drive available? If so it must getting about time for a 750GB to come onto the market. Anyone have any idea when it is likely to be available to consumers?
 
500GB.

Seagate just started showing their 640GB external 2.5" USB drive, so I'd wager those will be internal soon enough.
 
I was going to get the 500gb WD Scorpio Blue drive, but if the seagate drive comes out soon enough, say by the end of the summer at the latest, ill be getting that one.

I don't think it's really "milking" of each step. Seeing how they cannot add platters, they have to increase the density on the existing platters.

Actually, they can add a platter. If you look at the Seagate drive/enclosure unit, it's 12.5 mm in height. It's quite possible that they have a non-typical 12.5 mm height 2.5" drive inside the enclosure, with an extra platter. An example is the Hitachi 5K500, a 3-platter 2.5" drive of 12.5 mm height.

Could they fit that extra platter into a 9.5mm package? That's what I meant when I said they couldn't add anymore. Obviously if space weren't a limiting factor, they'd keep on adding platters.
