What's the difference between iCloud Backup and Photos/Mail/Messages/Safari/etc Backup??

As you can see, iCloud Backup at the very bottom of the list is turned off. What's the difference between that and all the apps with toggles enabled? Will those apps still get backed up if iCloud Backup is turned off? I'm a little confused.

iCloud backup is solely for iOS devices to backup to a person’s iCloud account as opposed to using iTunes to do the backup.
