What's the difference, Photoshop and extended Photoshop?

I'm looking to buy Adobe's Creative Suite. Some versions have Photoshop, others have extended Photoshop. What's the difference?
I don't do any complicated work with Photoshop.

Photoshop Standard Edition should work just fine for you then. Here is the difference between them:

Have the architecture functions moved to the regular version? I thought the smart perspective aware stamp etc. were part of the Extended version too.

No complicated work with Photoshop? Then I recommend:
Pixelmator and/or Sketch from the Mac Store.

I just switched ( 2 months ago ) after using Photoshop for 15 years. The transition is still taking some time getting used to, but there are fantastic tutorials AND I don't have to pay a monthly fee!

The last version of Photoshop I will ever buy is still on my mac: PS6 extended.

The thing about the Adobe Photography CC package is it's $10 a month, so $120 a year.

For me that's a good deal.

The OP is looking at getting the Suite though, so I am assuming this is because they want more than just PS and do not want to go with subscription base pricing. I think they are comparing the old Design Standard to Design Premium Suites, Adobe used to sell.

One came with PS and one came with PS Extended if I am correct.
