What's the difference between Hacktivation and Jailbreaking.

Or is there a difference.

Also does anyone knows how to make push notifications work after jailbreaking (or hacktivating?) without suggesting PushFix from cydia, because i tried it and its not consistent and then it just stops working.

I've looked online for different ways how to get it to work but there isn't much.. the only thing different from pushfix is on this page http://www.blogsdna.com/3885/fix-pu...lock-iphone-3g-30-ipod-touch-30-ultrasn0w.htm
and I don't understand it..

Please don't be mean.

If im correct...

Hacktivation - activating a phone using redsnow / something similiar

Jailbreak - ability to customize / add better functionality to your phone.

Hactivating is the same as Activating, but it will allow you do activate your iPhone on a non official carrier (if you're unlocked). If you do not activate you cannot use your iPhone as a phone.

Jailbreaking basically lets you install stuff you're not normally able to and open up lots of customisation.
