i'm getting annnoyed at safari, and it seems pretty slow, so i was wondering if there are any good alternate mac browsers. what's the fastest? i just want a simple browser that has pure speed.

Pure speed? lynx (or links). Runs in the terminal. No graphics. No JavaScript. No nothing but the text bits of the page. But it renders in no time dead.

hey thanks, I just checked out lynx. , its pretty sweet, can really freak out people if you tell them, thats what you always use ...

I use Firefox as well. It seems faster than Safari and is more compatible with the sites I visit.

How do you run lynx? In terminal I type it and it just says command not found.

you will have to download and install it first.
