I thought it was 6, but saw an add on Craigslist for a 7th Gen Classic

Thank you

The 120GB and the newer 160GB are sometimes referred to as "7th gen."

There are a few differences from the 120GB (2008)/160GB (2009) vs the old 80GB/160GB model released in 2007, specifically:
- Genius
- Shortcuts from the Now Playing list that allows you to skip straight to the album or artist song list
- Support for Apple Buds with Remote

Original 80/160 gig (fatty, dual platter)=6G
120 gig=6.5G
2009+ 160 gig=7G
