What is the latest iOS untethered jailbreak out? Do they have the iOS 6.1.3, or 6.1.4 out untethered? I can't find any info on that, that is legit by searching Google. I'm still iOS 6.1 CDMA untethered.

Thank you so much!

Could I upgrade from iOS 6.1 to iOS 6.1.2, and then do the untethered jailbreak using evasi0n on iOS 6.1.2? If yes, what are the steps to do this?

Maybe. I think it'll force you to upgrade to 6.1.4 if you try updating. You should just stick with jailbreaking 6.1.

What about downloading the 6.1.2 IPSW and use shift+restore?

Follow the advice dhlizard gives you. Note though, that it may just not be worth the hassle. My own iPhone 5 is stuck on 6.1 and my wife's iPhone 5 which we got two weeks ago was jailbroken with 6.0.1.

The differences between versions are really minimal and of no consequence.

If you saved complete SHSH for 6.1.2 some iDevices can be upgrades.

Advise of iDevice model and if you saved SHSH

I never once upgraded to iOS 6.1.2, so, no, I don't have SHSH blobs saved. Well, my iDevice is a bit outdated. I'm still using the iPhone 4. My phone doesn't support Siri. My iOS that came pre-installed was iOS 4.2.10. It's a bit outdated but it still does me well.

Anyway, I'm looking for instructions like this one from one of my other threads that darricksailo wrote.

Download ifaith and choose the options to dump your blobs. The program will guide you through the steps
1. run ifaith
2. click build signed ipsw with blobs
3. select the dumped .ifaith extension blob (keep a local backup of it just in case)
4. it'll verify that the blob is valid and complete, then choose download for me when it asks you to choose the firmware
5. once done downloading, depending on the instructions, choose the downloaded ipsw and click continue
6. it'll build the ipsw package and stitch the blobs in it
7. once it is done building the ipsw package, it'll give you instructions to put the device into pwned dfu mode
8. once in pwned dfu mode, open itunes and hold shift, then click restore
9. select the custom firmware that ifaith made for you and it'll restore to iOS 6.1
10. once on iOS 6.1, download evasi0n and jailbreak

iFaith can only save SHSH for the version you are currently on, therefore it does you no good.
Run TinyUmbrella to see if perhaps same SHSH were saved and report back.

Without any saved SHSH, your options are your current firmware or go to 6.1.3 (which is a tethered jailbreak for iPhone 4)

I personally wouldn't mess with it.
Any version of 6.- that allows for an untethered jailbreak is golden and the risk of losing it over an attempt to gain a different firmware isn't worth it.

Correct, stay on your current version, if at all possible it is fairly complicated to get to 6.1.2.

Just stay on your current version, jailbreak with evasi0n and have fun with it, meanwhile do research on all mentioned subjects, you might need it when a iOS7 JB comes out

Are they currently working on an iOS 7 untethered JB, and do you or does anyone else know if they successfully did a JB on iOS 7, and are there talk when it is coming out? Also, what site could I go to that is legit to read every and all updates for the work towards an iOS untethered JB?

The hackers are exploring the iOS7 GM for exploits.
There is no jailbreak yet for iOS7 and no ETA when one might be available.

Just check in here every once in a while. Most of the people who have responded to your questions in this thread are intimately involved in the jailbreak scene and will know when it happens and will report it here.

I understand they are working on an iOS 7 jailbreak. No, I will not ask what is the ETA, or anything about when or if it is released. All I'm asking are very simple questions and that is all.

1.) about this iOS 7 jailbreak talk, will it support the iPhone 4? Or will this iOS 7 people are talking about will support the newer iPhone models?

2.) If it will support the iPhone 4, then will it be untethered or tethered?

3.) If it doesn't support the iPhone 4 then I would guess I'm stuck on the iOS 6 untethered jailbreak forever until I buy a newer iPhone model, right?

1. When an iOS 7 jailbreak comes out, it will most likely support every idevice that can run iOS 7. However, if redsn0w is updated for iOS 7, then that may only be a tethered jailbreak for the iPhone 4

2. Depends what is released first, I guess. The one that's been talked about is the untethered one

3. Pretty much

Thank you so much for your help and your time!

Pretty much I'm still using my A1349 device. If its not broke than don't fix it or upgrade. I'm happy with this model.
