What's the multiple computer to one Apple TV experience like?

Let's say we have a couple of desktop and / or laptop users that would like to mirror their OS X desktops to a single Apple TV -connected HDMI projector in a conference room (one by one in turn, not all at the same time). The desktop computer wouldn't actually be located in the conference room; rather it would be accessed remotely through an iPad and streamed to the ATV either via WiFi or Ethernet.

1) I assume they all see the ATV as a receiver option since they're all on the same network - the ATV isn't "tied" to any one computer or Apple ID as far as mirroring goes?

2) What happens if one computer is mirroring to the ATV and another computer tries to do the same?

3) In your experience, how well does the ATV / OS X combo handle one computer mirroring to the ATV for a while, disconnecting, then another computer doing the same?

2. The computer who goes to connect will kick the previous computer off. Basically last in best dressed.

I agree with the above. We have done this many times and it works robustly. If you want to prevent someone from airplaying to the ATV there is now password protection for airplay.
