Hello there

I was wondering why some upgrade their phone with x.0 versions. Isn’t it always better to wait for x.1 or x.2?

I don’t blame them, maybe they just want to try new things. But what about the risk of having an issue?

Also, how can we quantify the number of issues is iOS 18 vs iOS 17 at release date?

It’s difficult because people with issues would post more than people who don’t, that’s natural.

I would recommend to always mention on MR that it is better to wait for extra version when .x is released.

Even point updates (x.1, x.2, etc) have remaining bugs - or create new ones. Heck, each main OS update should be bug free - at least as far as the OS and Apple's own apps are concerned (I mean, the OS is built to only run on a specific range of devices only Apple builds) - but that is clearly not the case.

Is there a good time to do install an update? "...you feel lucky, punk?"

Every new iPhone ships with a .0 release on launch day and millions are sold. But yeah. I say wait too

I do upgrade to .0 versions, usually.

But I also don't whine about minor bugs when they occur ;)
