I have had my APP for just over a week and decided it would be smart to get Apple Care, incase the battery starts to die out in the next year and a half. I assume since they have been out of the packaging and used for a week, Apple would have to inspect them? So, for those who have purchased Apple Care after the fact.. what's the proper process? Thanks.

Go here, select Airpods and enter the serial number. I did mine online after the purchase.

As I've mentioned in other threads, be sure to read the details of AppleCare+ specifically related to batteries, to ensure you are clear on what it would cover and what it would not cover.
