I know Apple quote it at 5 hours listening/4.5 hours with ANC enabled, but I was wondering if that actually translates into real usage. Is it accurate?

I’d say that’s pretty accurate for mine. I charge them around once every week or so and use them about 30+ minutes a day

it’s 20% every hour with ANC on, very consistent in one month, should be around 5 hours, more than Apple claimed

I thought mine were wearing out fast, but I ended up getting at least 4.5 hours one day when tuning into a live stream.

I also think they wear out faster at the beginning, which gives a false impression. Has anyone else found this?

I also wanted to ask (and this is quite a specific question), how do the audio quality and ANC compare to the Beats Studio3 headphones? That's what I mostly use now but I'm very strongly considering getting the AirPods Pro, so I'd like to know what to expect if anyone here has any experience with both of these!

It’s not fair to compare it with over ear headphones, bigger one is always better, it’s law of physics in audio world. It’s like you compare sound bar with bookshelves or floor standing

I’m getting about 5 hours with Transparency mode (The only mode I really use) and this is just sitting in my ear (no music) with the occasional announce and reply with Siri.

This has been my experience as well. About 5 hours with ANC/Transparency on. The case also charges them quickly. A bathroom break on a plane in the case seems to get them at least an hour or so of additional listen time.

Is anyone else noticing discrepancies when checking AirPods Pro battery life from one IOS device to another?

I’ve had the below happen regularly;

Use AirPods Pro on iPad for at least one hour...Check battery on iPad: 60%...Check battery on iPhone: 5%...Re-check battery on iPad: 5%.

I’ve proven that the reading on the iPhone isn’t right as they last their 4.5-5 hours anyway, so it’s not that the AirPods are losing battery quickly, it’s just that when checking the battery on a second device, it gives out a completely different figure.

Although, one time when I got that very low reading, I placed the Airpods back in my ears & the low battery tone triggered, so it’s confusing itself with the wrong reading.

I’ve also had the reverse happen after experiencing the above - when checking the battery again on the iPhone, it jumped way up to ~60% again.

Has anyone else checked their battery on a second IOS device to see if this happens?
