This may sound rather naive, but my jailbroken iPhone 2G is suddenly displaying a new icon that I haven't seen before.

It's an icon of a receiver, right next to the battery icon.

I've never seen it before, and its appeared very recently. I don't have any pending calls or any such thing. I've done a hard reboot, but it won't go away.

Anyone know what it's for?
Thanks in advance.

lol, he's joking

could you take a screenshot with the device? instead of taking a picture of it. . .

did you install any kind of notifier application? this is definably something in that area, i remember that icon when i used to use a notifier widget...

Could it be something to do with VPN? I just found a setting for that on the phone, but I don't know how to set it up.

What did you use to jailbreak?

The only things I've installed in the last few days are XpenseIt and PasswordWallet, both AppStore apps.

i would guess a missed call(from a status bar notifier or something), but then if that were the case it would have a badge on your phone icon. . .

maybe it's a winterboard theme/mod?

I haven't set up a VPN connection. I used QuickPwn to jailbreak it. I jailbroke it several weeks back, but the icon has appeared in the last 24 hours or so.

Found It!!

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction folks!!!

I'd set up a blocked caller list using iBlacklist several weeks ago. The icon was from iBlacklist, notifying me that a call had been blocked yesterday.

Thanks Four20, moka, filman408 for your help! :D You guys are the best.

Thanks to TuffLuffJimmy for nearly giving me a heart attack ;)
