For some reason I can’t find this info anywhere I’m asking purely about the touch response rate NOT refresh rate. I’m looking to upgrade my 10.5 and got really used to the 120hz, but I’d be willing to go back to 60 if the response/sampling rate is still better matching the new iPhones 120hz touch sampling which always looks and feels great on my 11 Pro. I have tried other new iPads recently (Both 7th and 8th gen) but they both feel extremely choppy with the animations and way less smoother than any iPhone. I have also underclocked my 10.5 limiting it to 60 and it feels just as awful. What are your guys experience with the Air 4?

To add it’s actually mostly just the homescreen/gestures that feel awful Im pretty sure past iOS versions on iPad didn’t feel this choppy 60hz or not.

I went from a 2018 iPad Pro to an Air 4. Didn't really notice much of a difference - the Apple Pencil 2 seems a tiny bit more laggy but when I'm writing, I got used to it really quick. Scrolling? I really didn't notice any difference. Same for videos, etc.

Air 4 .... no question.

Alright playing around with it for a bit now the experience feels about the same as my past 60 hz iPads however swiping up to get the recent apps menu does feel a bit better and not choppy. Pretty sure the touch response rate is 60 still on these. Oh well I’ll live with it lots of upgrades to this thing and I have a fresh battery! I was actually surprised to notice this thing had 4 speakers still I just assumed that was reserved for the Pro.

I recently purchased an iPad Air 4 coming from an iPad Pro 2018, there was times my iPad would not recognize my touch but I think the most persistent issue for me was the pro motion. I ended up returning it and now I'm stuck with a $455 trade in gift card and no iPad :(
