Right now I'm using that as the background and wallpaper for my ipod touch, but I'd also like to try my hand at making something like that for my desktop background. I have no clue where to start off, so I was looking for a photoshop tutorial, but I don't know where to begin searching since I don't know the style.

Anyone know?

I'm really not sure if there is a specific name for that type of drawing/graphic.

mmmm, no - I don't think there's any name you could give that graphic style. If pressed you could point to the influence of the Vorticist movement...

fractals, the best ones are made with a fractal program, that one looks more like a photoshoppy immitation of a real fractal.
