Flashlights are so cheap and better than what the iPhone can offer but all you see is light apps.

I have a flashlight app on my iPhone and I have used it quite a lot. It's a very useful app IMO.

Agreed! I use my flashlight app all the time. Seems silly to carry an actual flashlight with me wherever I go.
