Ok, first, last week every entry in iCal disappeared from my Mini, iPhone5 and from the Cloud. I restored from Time Machine and all entries were promptly deleted a second time. An hour and a half on the phone with tech support yielded no resolutions. Now safari is deleting my bookmarks.

Since the problem seems to be a something that you are experiencing, how is it Apple's problem?

I'm not defending Apple, and I'm sorry that you are experiencing problems, it's horribly frustrating. But I don't understand your title...

Well, for starters, Apple techs were unable to shed any light on the problem. I mean none. Secondly, this IS Apple's problem since the problem originated on the cloud. All iCal backups were deleted from the cloud then my desktop and Iphone were immediately synched. Now this may seem trivial, but I operate a service business and many appointments were lost. I suppose this is a moot thread since I have now abandoned iCal and have resorted to a daytimer. Thank you for taking a moment to help out.
