What's up with OWC Neptune SSDs?

I just saw these on their web site. Any ideas what the difference is between them and the Mercury series? I am disappointment that there is no news article here.

Neptune use the cheap TLC NAND, which should has shorter life time then good quality MLC. Also, may be more trouble (you can google about the 840 Evo TLC problem).

Maybe the SSD-based Neptune is a continuation of OWC's 'value done right' proposition. Just a guess; their SSD lineup is new to me.

I just purchase two 1TB SSD 3G Mercury and there awesome

Are they still using the troublesome sandforce controller? We tested some of the OWC SSDs a year ago and found them unreliable when pushed (not as durable as many others) , probably OK otherwise. Not that fast either for typical disk data exchanges. Lots can change in a year, however.
