Neptune use the cheap TLC NAND, which should has shorter life time then good quality MLC. Also, may be more trouble (you can google about the 840 Evo TLC problem).

Are they still using the troublesome sandforce controller? We tested some of the OWC SSDs a year ago and found them unreliable when pushed (not as durable as many others) , probably OK otherwise. Not that fast either for typical disk data exchanges. Lots can change in a year, however.
