Whats up with the Youtube video quality

I just got my phone activated not too long and started to mess around with the Youtube. What do you guys think of the video quality i feel like its really bad and its hard to see whats going on in the video anyone else feel the same way. On the Commericals it looked crystal clear does it have to with the edge connection or wifi?
 
Yep your right it does I connected via wifi and it is so much faster and much better quality pretty disappointed how bad edge is.
 
I could of sworn one gets the same quality video regardless of edge or wifi.

I have been using You Tube w/ EDGE w/ no problems.
 
No I just tested with Edge and without Edge the differnce is very noticable. There is slowdown or choppy screens. Maybe in my area edge is really slow.
 
For me Edge video is lower quality, but not unwatchable. It streams smoothly. I'm in the Minneapolis metro area.
 
no the video quality on wifi is a lot better than on edge. I think youtube varies the bitrate based on connection speed. In fact i think the videos look better on wifi on the iphone than on my desktop
 
wen u say u connected wifi u mean that your connecting to a network..such as your home or at a shopping centre..right??

and the EDGE one is the one provided by AT&T...

im not that familiar with your countries ways :p

It sometimes depends on the video sometimes themselves to.



All the videos i have watched are crystal clear.
 
I think it has to do with area. Cingular's network is better in some areas than in others.

I wish there was a way to check the speeds for where you live :(
 
so my real complaint with youtube is - i cant access the entire youtub databse.......

most things i watch are "user" uploaded files......... i feel like i only have access to 5% of the youtube database out there.


any news on youtube releasing the entire youtube library for search?

I demand it!!! lol
