Whats up with these errors

I went from getting error 1600 or error 1601 to always getting error 6 and once error 2001 ive been trying 2 jailbrake my 3g for the last day and a half. I've tried restarting comp resetting PRAM changing cords changing usb ports. I'm using itunes 7.7.1 after being told 2 try using that once instead of version 8 nothings working and I'm getting tired of it so someone help please.

I used iTunes 8.0 and it worked fine, Pwned my 2.0.2 3G right into 2.1. The first time I tried it I got a 2001 error. I just rebooted the iPhone, put it back into DFU mode and iTunes restored it using my custom .ipsw I made in Pwnage Tool.
