Looks like you just mistyped "icloud.com". I was able to do the same thing.
iclodu.com, icluod.com, icould.com (and other variations) all redirect to icloud.com, so guessing that's why it's still able to authenticate...or that Outlook is ignoring (or fixing) the domain when authenticating with Apple/iCloud.
