Finally I have arrived.....
If you have been given a company car for daily business use, tell (or show) us what you are driving. This is not about your personal car like the other thread on Picture Gallery.

My company's employees drive the Civic, the Accord, or the Yaris.

Not exactly a car, and not exactly used for nipping to the shops, but it's generally what I drive through out the day, I work for Volvo.

I'm driving company Citroen C3. Driving volvo must be much safer. But company cars are seldom volvos... Have you ever thought about special insurance if you're obliged to do a lot of driving at work (and if you're not a driver)?

Read this article. I'm taken aback a bit, but it seems true. We do the most driving at work. I'm thinking of asking my employer for some special kind of insurance.

If the company's owner's daughter doesn't have it because her car is "in the shop"...

A piece of crap Dodge Caliber, or a Ford Taurus.

Oh wait, one of the guys who never leaves the office to go onto customer sites got the Caliber so he can use it for personal trips home and to go to lunch where he meets 5 other guys each with their own company car... Hmm...

So 8 people line up to share the Taurus. That's the sales guys as well as the engineers.

Good thing our customers aren't up to 100 miles away.

Grr...

I hear ya! My boss got a HUGE company car allowance and used it to buy a Mercedes Benz. Meanwhile, I have to continually fill out expense reports for using my car for company use. At least I can do that! Plus, I love driving my car so it's not a huge deal. Just a waste of time constantly filling out expense reports.

A Volkswagen Polo. It's a small car, the seats are horrible, and it doesn't pull up very fast, but I'm already glad that I've never had to pay for gasoline myself.

A city issue one of these:

Blue "police" style government plates, white, unmarked, strobes, and awesome largeness, it's a fun thing to drive around.

...All for city IT work. He he.

Some personal pics. I've got some pics around here somewhere of what happens when the bridge collapses.

Oh, if we're doing other forms of transportation... There are no roads in this particular Southeast Asian river delta, so:

Boy, that does not look like a vehicle equiped bridge. x.x haha. I would not want to drive over that every day. Isn't it enough to chance it once?

That's crazy. You roll round in an F250 to do IT work?
Not all the time.

Since the IT Department doesn't have their own vehicles, city-wide maintenance lends us theirs. Furthermore, we only get these on days we need to move stuff, such as CRT displays, server mounts, towers, etc.

We have 84 sites that need maintenance, and that also means shuffling lots of stuff.

Man, for that part of the eastern Congo, that is a REALLY nice bridge!

For one, it's mostly flat. Two, the the top layer (and there IS a top layer) of wood is perpendicular to the direction of travel.

Most of the time, it's a couple of logs laid out the long way. You get out and guide the driver onto the correct logs and hope something doesn't break or the car doesn't slip off.

Here's a picture of that: (This wasn't me but I've had this happen to me.)
