11" MBA with 4 gigs of RAM. It looks great, it's ultraportable and it's extremely fast. I connect it to a 27" ACD when I'm not running around, which gives me the best of both worlds.

MacBook Pro for me - any size, but for me the 17". I've got an iMac, and tried out the Air and MacBook also but the MacBook Pro (of any resolution, really) is the best all around computer.

Get one with a SSD and four cores, and you're all set.

My new 13" MacBook Air: fast, beautiful, light, enough RAM, 7 hr battery. Quibbling over the slightly higher spec on MBP leaves me cold. MBA is a truly superb machine.

I like the 13" MBA, I think it is a great product. For pure sexiness, the 11" MBA is tough to beat.

Fully-loaded iMac. I don't own one, I own an old MBP, but in the future I'd like an iMac because of the lower price and better hardware options in comparison to notebook Macs. Should I need portability, I'd just use my current MBP, which I'd most likely only use for web and email once I got an iMac.

The MBA is looking very attractive, and so is the top-end Mini as a desktop option. Though speaking for myself, a Mini still isn't really as mobile as notebook or iPad (both of which can also take advantage of larger displays), though it would be quite an addition to my HDTV.

iMac. I fail to see how the MacBook Air can be at all appealing. It seems incredibly overpriced in my mind.

Look at the competition's pricing, at least here in the US, and you will see that they really can't match what the MBA offers for the price.

Mac Pro. It's the only one that hasn't been tarnished with the addition of horrible looking black plastic accents.

Good thing it is all in your mind then. ;) Spec for spec, the MBA is very competitively priced against its competition.

And it's definately my favorite right now. Lots of performance, right feature set and great size and weight make it the best all-arounder in Apple's line-up.

Definitely agree. The power, portability and price are all pretty perfect. My next mac will be a 13" MBA, unless 15" Air gets released :p

I keep eyeballing my wife's MBA wishing I would have got one instead of my 15" MBP. :D

Wow surprising number of people voted for MBA. My personal choice is the Mac Pro because I can easily replace parts by just taking off the cover, the power ( I have a maxed out mac pro w/64gb ram and all that other good stuff), and the amount of time they will last. I mean really think of how long 12 cores of 2.93 Ghz can last, you will be able to run demanding games and apps 5-10 years from now (well not to demanding after 10).

For me the MBA, I am tempted as using it seems so portable yet quite fast and useful.

Mac Pro seems too expensive and too powerful, with no cheap option, liking the 2008 refurb model I got a couple years back.

Indeed. It meets my two primary requirements of power and portability. The Mini comes a close second, if I have access to a keyboard, mouse and monitor where I'm going (great for work, not so great for Starbucks.)

I must say the Mac Mini is the best in my opinion because as small as it is it can be a very powerful little best, I can run Final Cut Pro just fine on it but it also is closely related to the G4 Cube and also my next favorite is the Power Mac G4:apple:

Each of the Macs listed have their positives:

iMac: Best value for money Mac available.
MBP: iMac performance with the portability.
MBA: Performance and portability. Makes an affordable MacBook if you can't opt for the Pro.
Mac Pro: Serious performance and it looks the best IMO.
Mac Mini: Affordable, great replacement computer, best computer to buy if you are switching to Mac but cannot afford to buy the iMac.

However, taking day to day usability into consideration, I would say the MacBook Pro is my favourite current gen Mac as it can be plugged into a monitor when you want to use a desktop or can be taken around, without the loss of performance either way.

My current gen mac is iMac.New 27″ iMac support the HDMI to mini-displayport adapters like the Kanex XD or the Belkin AV360.
