6 months in, and I can truthfully say i do miss my iphone 7

not enough to go back to it but I just think it and the 5s were my two favorite design and form factors

i love iPhone X and it's absolutely gorgeous in space black (reminds me of my affinity for the Google Nexus 4 when it was new) but the all glass design terrifies me when Apple says its $500 to fix.

what model/form factor would you prefer if it could work with ios11?

I Look at this two ways:

For me, I really like the 4.7 inch model size. I find it to be just the perfect size display and comfortable in the hand to manipulate without having to use two hands, and its less obtrusive in the Pocket.

But my favorite model iPhone has to be the iPhone 6s, it was the last iPhone (Other than the SE) that included 3.5 mm Jack and the display that had the more bluish Stark tone to it.

Not a big fan of the 6, 6s, 6ss and the 6sss and their plus versions. I own a 6s+ but every iteration of the 6 series made the camera bump larger and uglier.

In any case, my favorite is the iPhone 5. The 5s never came in Black/Slate so that's why it's not ever been a favorite of mine.

I really do like the SE though. It's proof that Apple can make the camera bump flush to the housing - if they choose. Having the SE in the size of the plus series of phones would make my day.

my X is favorite although I really liked my 6s. I like Face-ID better than touch id - much better I think

SE here. Best size. Never want a bigger phone.
Don't care much for the headphone jack though. I can donate it to someone who needs it ;)

My favorite iPhone WILL be a micro LED screen exactly the same dimensions as the Plus phones with negligible chin and forehead and no notch. I know that's never going to happen- but that's my ideal.

Im between the 4S and X. Slight edge to 4S because of its perfect symetrical design and i cannot forget the 1st time i saw that retina display. You remember where you were kind of moment...

I never had a 6S but my 6 display was the BEST display I ever had. It was very cool, very bright, and the colors had that extra bit of vibrant saturation without looking cartoonish.

When I got my SE the screen was much worse as expected, so when I got my 8 I was expecting to be wowed again and I wasn't - it's very similar to the SE, which was shocking. I have no problems with my screen and it's the most even of any iPhone I've had and has no yellow tint (but it's just a warmer screen in general), but the brightness isn't the same and the P3 gamut is a bit subdued, if more accurate.

Fantastic design. Retina screen. Gizmodo scandal. Antenna-gate. Free bumpers! Steve Jobs threatening to spend every penny Apple had to kill Android. Engadget comments section! What a time!!

Best in terms of features and specs is the X.

However my personal favourite for nostalgic reasons is the iPhone 4.

Most favorite iPhone ever: X
Second most favorite: 4.

Favorite: iPhone 6S
2nd Favorite: iPhone 4S
Least Favorite: iPhone X (biggest issue is FaceID - sucks in the mornings and at work when I have it lying flat on the table)

I've only owned 3 iPhones and as you can tell I usually upgrade every 2 years. This year I'm planning to upgrade right away when I can.
