Lol and I used to wonder why so many users have issues recently. What's next, memory clean and Mac cleaner?
People need to stop doing useless stuff, this ain't the 90s, just use the damn device. I swear most issues theses days is wanna be experts tinkering with their devices without having a clue. That's probably also why we constantly get "Mavericks and Yosemite is using all my ram" threads because people are clueless or stuck in the past.

As always, that depends entirely on the situation. If you live in a country with temperatures north of 30°C in the summer and without air conditioning, you want to ensure your Mac is not running at unnecessary high temperatures. In this case, a fan control app will do the job. Personally, I use TG Pro to up the fan speed of my Mac Mini from 1.800 RPM to 2.500 RPM. It's not audible for me because I listen to music all day while working. So why let the Mini run at a higher temperature? Because Apple is obsessed with silently operating devices?

Yeah I see what you mean and that seems to make sense.
Sorry for the reply, I think that's probably as a result of what macRumors does to me these days because all I see is "iOS sucks, Steve jobs would have, Safari is snappier, we want iOS 6 design, Apple software is full of bugs, how is battery life, Apple is doomed etc" threads. D
