Not sure if we already have this thread, but in the vein of "What Do You Do For a Living," what do you do for your side hustle?

(Clarification requested, what do you do for extra money outside of your main source of income?)

My main gig is healthcare consultant, but boy oh boy I have a hobby for finding pennies. I like reselling old treasures of mine and ones that I find on eBay. I do group studies and survey groups through this local company that pays for our opinion and participation. Lately, whenever I'm waiting for a meeting to start, I'm playing a game on my iPhone that collections 10-25 cents here and there per achievement to cash out.

I take all that change and just invest it in index funds, or save it for a small frivolous trinket or take my family out for dinner.

What do you all do?

I'm not familiar with the (American?) term "side hustle", so forgive me if I've misinterpreted your question.

I'm semi-active in "retrocomputing", having produced a bit of open source software for older machines. Admittedly it's been a while since I've done any actual development (and I feel a bit guilty about it) but I'm still sticking my nose into discussion forums and the like :)

My apologies. Clarification added to original post. What do you do for extra money outside of your main source of income.

I sell woodworking pieces. Not so much as a business, but because I like to make them and we don't need anymore in the house (But if I find the right piece of wood, I am going to make a live edge river table for the family room.).

I'm imagining a glorious garage with a huge workspace and all the necessary machinery. I miss having a garage, we moved into a house where they converted the garage into a room. My gym is now a canopy outside.

I wish. :)

Mostly small modular pieces that get taken out and then put away.. I have a friend who has a full shop so sometimes I go over there if I need a drum sander or planer table. I mainly make charcuterie boards and similar objects. Wife has a nut business where she sells spiced candied pecans and savory almonds. So for the holidays, she packages them up as gift boxes using my boards.

My current/future project is a set of bourbon flight boards. I went to college with some guys who are all really into bourbon. So when we get together for Christmas which we do every year, they are going to get one of these boards. The cool thing is they are going to be made from the tops of bourbon barrels. And since the barrel tops are trashed, I am going to repair the holes/gouges using epoxy resin in our school colors. Each board will be unique.
