First off, I love Apple and I have always loved their products. So no, I'm not here to hate I just want to know what you all think about this new service. I've been using Spotify premium for a little over a year and I really liked it, I was very excited about Apple music though so I canceled my subscription with Spotify two days ago and I was ready for Apple's new streaming service. So far, I'm not that impressed, I do love the fact that I don't need another app to listen to my music, but instead I can use the Music app that comes with my phone, but it's just been a mess! It completely messed my Music Library, I created a couple playlists and they are on both my mac and my iPad, but they're not showing up on my iPhone (yes, iCloud music is on) and just adding songs have been frustrating, I don't know if I just don't know how to use it yet, but it won't even let me add songs when I do a search, I have to go into the album so I can save them to my playlist. Beats1 is okay, I listened to it for a while. Right now I'm really thinking about going back to Spotify! The only thing keeping me with Apple music is the 3 month free trial and the fact that maybe it will improve in the next couple months.

The things I miss about Spotify:

*Creating playlists is way easier on Spotify and syncing between devices is smooth and easy.
*I really miss the Genres & Moods on Spotify, I can't find anything like that on Apple music other than the Apple Music Editor, but I'm not too impressed.
*I also prefer the colors n the Spotify app, it also makes it easier to navigate when I'm n the dark.
* On Spotify when creating playlists if you're adding a song you already have in your playlist Spotify will warn you that you already have it. I didn't see this option on Apple Music, I accidentally added the same song several times thinking I didn't have it already on my playlist.

So whats your take on Apple Music?

I haven't used it enough to make heads or tails of it but I will say that it seems far less intuitive than Spotify.

I really think that this is going to be an uphill battle for Apple. Spotify has had years to refine their streaming product whereas Apple is just getting into the game. Also, to Apple's disadvantage, they are trying to merge the local library experience with the streaming experience.

Right now it just feels like a cluster.

It's definitely not for me:
  • If I purchased more than $10 of music a month on a regular basis, then I'd seriously consider it.
  • I'm also not a fan of the music played over Beats 1, but that's just my taste. The main thing that I don't like about Beats 1 is the commentary by the DJs. I could probably bear listening to the station without them. And yes, I know that I can listen to other stations without DJs making comments and that appeal more to my tastes.
  • I wish that the Music app would revert back to the version in the iOS 8.4 public beta if you don't use Apple Music. The app is more cluttered now, even with Apple Music turned off (It still shows the Connect tab and the account icon in the upper left when Apple Music is turned off).
