WhatsApp and Delayed Messages.

Here in Brazil we use the WhatsApp app a lot. A few months ago, I can't say if it was after an iOS update or an update of the app itself, my WhatsApp announces the arrival of new messages, but they only load when I open the app. I used to open the app and all the messages were already there, received. Now, when I open the app, I see messages arriving and loading one by one and sorting by order of arrival. This annoys me, to be quite honest. I have to wait for the messages to arrive and then open them. I've already tried uninstalling the app and installing it again. And I tried to turn on Background Update. It didn't. Anyone with this same problem?

I used to have that issue with every iPhone that i owned up till the XS Max. But it seems to be normal on my 12 Pro Max. Im assuming either cellular signal or a setting/settings on the phone.

I've never had this kind of problem, even on my other iPhone's. I just don't remember if this started to happen after an update of the iOS app or update. Is your Background Update option enabled?

yes,i do have Background App Refresh turned on. the only issue i have with Whatsapp on IOS is the continous disconnecting when using Whatsapp PC/Whatsapp Web.
