Whatsapp badge notification

LOL thought I was going mad before!

just started happening to me after the recent update. Had a bunch of notifications working right, as you stated, just the badge won't show. anyone delete/reinstall the app to see if that helped fix it?

EDIT: just decided to work. but definitely was not working earlier. tray force reboot. thats the only thing I did since earlier when I wasn't getting the badge.

I know. In a day I see the badges sometimes and sometimes not.

Looks like an update just came out to address that issue.

Not only that they also added (finally!!) GIF support in the iOS app although they didn't mention it in the description.
I can now send GIFS via my Gboard keyboard and paste them into WhatsApp and they can play. Unfortunately you still have to manual press them though to play them. I would rather see them play instantly like Telegram does.
