Hello everyone,
I already searched here and it seems that it could be possible with paid software but I am not sure, if it really works.

I bought my first iPhone ever (11 Pro) und I am really happy with it, but really unhappy with my WhatsApp chats.
I would like to transfer them from Android to iOS but I am not sure if it really works.

I saw some apps like "dr.fone", "mobiletrans", "backuptrans", but those seem kinda fake.
I dont care about those 20€ but if I pay, i want them to work, since I have over 1M texts which I dont wanna lose.

Thanks!

Regards
Tom

Hi Tom,

You can try dr.fone, i have successfully transferred my mum’s Note 9 whatsapp chat over to her new iPhone 12 mini. The whole process is pretty straight forward.

Whoah, really? That's amazing. Were also all the Photos on iPhone too? If yes, those are then in backup on iCloud too and that would be amazing! It costs 30€ but if it really works and I get everything "copied", then I wouldnt mind paying for it.

Photos and videos from your WhatsApp will be transferred over. Everything such as group chats, individual chats and Chat history will be ported over to the iPhone as how it appears on your Android device I was a bit skeptical at first on the transfer process, but so long as you follow the instructions given by dr.fone. It should be fine

Amazing! I guess you used the paid version too or? The "normal" one doesnt do everything I guess or?

I just wanted to tell ya, that Backuptrans worked!!!
All chats, photos, voice messages are back.
The photos are only in chats and not in the photos app but still, they're there.
Ill check if I can show them in Photos app too. Maybe after iCloud Backup.
New WhatsApp photos are saved in Photos-App too.

I too can confirm that the Dr Phone Whatsapp Transfer is a god send. I used it this evening to transfer my WhatsApp chats from my OnePlus 6 to my new iPhone 12 Pro which arrived in the post today. Delighted to say that it transferred them all perfectly intact and even transferred the photos and videos too! Brilliant job! It was about £19 quid. Well worth it in my opinion.

Hello! I plan to purchase Dr. Done today for the same thing, transferring the WhatsApp chats from my old Samsung S8 to my new iPhone 12 Pro. To those who already tried the app, could you please tell me where the SIM card has to be placed while doing the transfer? In the source phone (Samsung) or in the iPhone?

May be "too much" but my all my whatsapp stuff was/is more important than those 20€.
I can confirm, it works with backuptrans but I guess all those apps are almost the same. But I went back to android anyways because I couldn't live with iOS restrictions so I actually paid 20€ for nothing but still, for those willing to transfer, it really works.

apparently whatsapp is currently testing native support for transferring between different devices, so as long as i keep my google drive whatsapp backup in place, in theory i can transfer it later down the line.

i only have 1 chat in whatsapp anyway, so it's no big deal if i never use whatsapp again.
