All apps get iOS 9 compatibility update. Except whatsapp. It's the worst app on my device right now. Notifications don't work properly. Crashing, when i send a photo or video. The volume bar goes to zero ( so annoying )

What do you think about whatsapp? When will be updated ? Any rumors so far? Or where can we report these issues?
 
WhatsApp is working perfectly for me, no issues at all. I'm friends with a guy that regularly spams me with voice memos / videos / pictures and nothing has caused a crash or volume problems.

Try deleting / re downloading the app.

WhatsApp is also working fine for me. But I'm hoping for an update for Quick Reply from Notifications and an Apple Watch app. But since we are talking about the WhatsApp dev team.. I don't think we see this happening until 2016.....

I would also like to see supports for Quick Reply from WhatsApp and also 3D Touch for the iPhone 6s and 6s+ users out there (unfortunately i'm not one of those). I'm afraid it will take ages.

It would be so much easier if everyone of my friends, family and colleagues also switches to Telegram they offer Quick Reply, Slide Over/Split View on iPad (they are available on iPad which you can't say from WhatsApp). It even supports 3D Touch for iPhone 6s and 6s+.

Yeah, you're right. The problem is that WhatsApp is almost ubiquitous here in Europe and I don't think it will (ever) change.

It'll change, but the iPhone 7 will probably be released before it does. It took them ages to update to the iPhone 5 longer screen.

I meant the ubiquity will not change. ;) And yes, I remember the long time with the two black bars in WhatsApp. The same with the iOS 7 keyboard/design...
 
You can expect a iOS 9 compatible version from WhatsApp in around 7 to 9 months. That's their cycle to keep up with new OS functionalities.
 
It's FB owned... Not surprised with the delay... I am still waiting on FB messenger to get watch support... More than just a Thumbs Up option -_-
 
Eeekk...whatsapp is working just fine for me on iOS 9.0.2 iPhone 6s plus. I did notice it used lots of background data so turned that off. Push Messaging is fine
 
I'm having issues tapping urls in WhatsApp, on my 6s Plus.
Never had issues on my old 6 Plus, even with iOS 9.0.1 installed.
Anyone else experiencing this?

They will spend more development in trying to further monetize it, or how to inject ads like what Instagram has now, than to complete functionality. It's been years and there's no iPad instagram, while it's the perfect app to properly have native support on ipad for, but ads in your stream happens within months. WhatsApp will just follow that pattern, in my opinion.

I have managed to get some of my workplace colleagues and my friends to move over to Telegram, and we use that over whatsapp (the real dealbreaker is the availability of tablet and desktop apps). However, many others still use whatsapp, and so I can't delete that app just yet.

I love how Telegram is so quick to support new iOS 9 APIs like quick reply, while WhatsApp took like forever to implement share sheet extensions.

Almost no keyboard lag with Apple's keyboard and Swype on my iPhone 5s and iPad mini2 2 since i'm using 9.0.2 (the previous two iOS versions were terrible). The Path Input for iPad unfortunately does have lag and takes ages to load/show. I've already asked the developer to bring out an update soon. I haven't heard from them yet.

No app crashes so far on iOS 9.0.2 and the system is much more smooth then iOS9.0 and 9.0.1
 
WhatsApp is a cancer, their user base is so large they don't give a **** for their users. An update will come out in 6 months time.

Telegram FTW.
