I downloaded Whatsapp on my PM14. It's the first time ever installing the software. I created an account and then soon after, before i even contacted anybody, it locked me out!! A message come up saying I could no longer use the account...

Then I received this following message....

Can anyone advise what I possibly did to get locked out? So I deleted the app off my iPhone.
Any help is welcome thanks.

Consider yourself lucky? Signal is calling!

Are you using a VPN? Zuck doesn't like it when you try to block his shtyle.

It’s hard to say because Facebook/Meta doesn’t really give much information on bans. It’s probably AI decided some activity on your account was suspicious. Of course that’s only speculating and you’re never going to get a real human from Meta to answer this question.

It's hard to use Signal, when apparently the rest of my family use Whatsapp.

A VPN? I'm using the 'Private Relay' on my iPhone, but I think that only affects it's Safari browser?

Perhaps it's done me a favor, as I personally didn't want to install Whatsapp on my iPhone. (my family were pressuring me, but I have been reluctant for some time, being apprehensive about security issues with Whatsapp and reported battery drain).

You shouldn't.

being apprehensive about security issues with Whatsapp

Absolutely, try to get your clan to change. One small step at a time. Most people don't know or care about security, don't let them bully you into putting your data at risk.
