On the same whatsapp website, on the FAQ's, it says that your device doesnt have to be jailbroken in order of being able to verify your number: http://www.whatsapp.com/faq/en/iphone/20902747
  • Your phone has full Internet access with a strong signal. Try opening a web page to make sure.
  • Your phone is not roaming.
  • Your phone can receive international SMS messages.
  • You are not using an unsupported device such as an iPod Touch or iPad.
  • Your device is not jailbroken.
When I try to verify my number, it dosn't send me any code nor it calls me. Is it because I am jailbroken?

So you answered your question. You cannot verify your number via code because you're jailbroken.
Ok, do you know how many jailbroken iphones are? So, do you imply that all jailbreakers dont use whatsapp?

The problem I see I have is that I changed the sim card from my iphone 5 to my iphone 6 and even though I dont have the sim card on the 5, I still have whatsapp running with my phone number. Weird... I cant disconnect whatsapp on the 5 and run it on the 6 cause no method work, no resend code, nor call me.

I guess the only option is to revert to stock. Get Whatsapp verified there, then jailbreak.
But my 2 phones are jailbroken and on the iphone 5 I verified whatsapp with no problem and now I cannot disconect it from this phone.

I just took my dads iPhone 6 which is JB, installed whatsapp and put my sim in and the code worked.

I honestly have no idea why its not for you. I would restore, DL the app, get the code then JB quickly before 9.0.2 is still being signed.

I don't know what is wrong with your Whatsapp. I literally JB my 6Plus last night, started installing all my apps, including Whatsapp, and was able to receive the confirmation code and use whatsapp normally. I even installed a cydia tweak for whatsapp and it's perfectly functional.

I dont know if it is related to being jailbroken, cause I did this switching phones thing many times and it always worked. The problem I have is with my old iphone 5 that even though it doesnt have the sim card anymore, whatsapp is still working there. At one point, whatsapp asked me if I was going to keep using my phone number or I was going to switch to use my icloud account. I said yes to the latter and kept working without the sim card. But know I cant disconnect my whatsapp account from this old iphone 5 to make it work on the 6. I dont know what else to do to de-attach the whatsapp account from that phone.

Have you tried putting the SIM back into your iphone 5, deactivating whatsapp there then putting your SIM back into the iphone 6 and activating Whatsapp there?

But how do I deactivate my account? Do I "delete my account" or "change number"? Those are the 2 only options I can find under the Whatsapp Settings. There is no option for disconnecting my account from that phone.

Ahh, I understand. I'm at a loss there. I don't want to tell you to delete your account without knowing the consequences, since Ive never done that before. Maybe someone else with that type of experience can chime in.

Me personally, I would just delete the account and re-establish it on your iphone 6. That's my personal opinion. I don't think by "changing your number" would help since youre using your existing cell number going from the i5 to the i6.

Uninstall the app from the 5
