Whatsapp notifications

Hi all,
Ive got this weird problem where at some point during the day my whatsapp notifications stop working. All other notifications work. When I open the app, all my messages come at one time. Ive tried to reinstall the app but that didnt help.
Any ideas?

Did you refer to the WhatsApp Troubleshooting Notification problems page? Here, scroll to the bottom of this link.

They have mentioned that iPhone notifications are entirely dependent on APNS, Apple's Push Notifications Service. So you may also want to follow this link for troubleshooting and self help.

Hi guys I'm back. I still have the issue, I have restored my phone as new and spoken to Apple. I have emailed Whatsapp and got no reply yet. I cant be the only one facing this issue can I It was working fine on my iPhone 6 for years.

As iThingsGurl said... The problem is on Apple server side.

Any push notification from (viber, whatsapp, skype, gmail etc...) is going to Apple Servers and is using Apple Push Service. That is why you can have push even when you disable background app refresh.

I have problem not only with WA, i have with Viber and Gmail too.

I have the same issue as this too - most noticeably on WhatsApp because that's what I receive most messages on but affects other apps too.

It's not a big deal for me, but can be frustrating sometimes.
