Whatsapp on ios 5?? Please HELP!!

Hi guys,
Is there a way i can download Whatsapp on my IPOD TOUCH which is running ios 5. Cant install from app store because it doesnt support ipod touch.
Dont want to use untethered jailbreak and untethered isnt released yet.

PLEASE HELP ME !!!

Well if you can't download it from the App Store and you don't want to want to use a tethered jailbreak, which is what I assume you meant, and the untethered jailbreak isn't yet available, then it sounds like you're out of luck.

I was under the impression that Whatsapp needed to be tied to a phone number (although one can authenticate a Whatsapp account through email). For example, when I switched SIMs in the past, Whatsapp made me re-register with a new account because my phone number had changed. One searches for contacts via phone number, and one is found by other Whatsapp'ers via one's phone number. Do you know that it can be run on a SIM-less device regardless of jailbroken status?
