Hi all,

I am getting the notification “WhatsApp could not start, please restart your iPhone if the problem continues”.

The issue is I continue to restart my iPhone, and it still happens. I delete the app and reinstall it and it still happens. I reset my iPhone various times. I believe the problem is iOS, but I don’t have a solution. I can’t find one. Living in one of the Caribbean islands, they don’t use iMessage here. I have WhatsApp updated as well as the latest iOS. iPhone 14 Pro.

Weird, I've never had that happen. Two things you could try:

1. Can you log in to https://web.whatsapp.com/ on a computer using your phone number?

2. Can you try deleting the WhatsApp app, restarting your phone, and then reinstalling WhatsApp?

Also, are you getting that error as soon as you open the app, after setting it up with your phone number, or after attempting to restore from a backup?

Hey! Actually, I've tried all that. I think it's an issue with iOS because WhatsApp has contacted me and they said it has nothing to do with the app. The app just says that because that's the way in the coding that the app has to recognize that iOS is failing. I've done a couple things like limiting notifications, always have background app refresh on. And sometimes when I turn on certain settings, it doesn't happen. So let's see.
