So since the latest Sonoma update i've discovered that when I set a picture (jpg/png) as a wallpaper directly from Finder (right click - set as wallpaper) a small gear/wheel icon appears for a split second on the top menu bar on my Mac.
Is there any information about what it could be? Anyone else experienced this? It also seems to be appearing using Safe Mode as well.

Is this normal?

The "Set as Wallpaper" thing is probably implemented as an Automator.app workflow (unofficial?) and that gear shows when such a thing is running.
