I'm new to this whole iPhone (and Smartphone) thing. My question is about apps being updated. When an app updates for fixes/improvements are you able to download the new version without purchasing again? The logical answer seems to be "of course you can". But as I said, I'm new to this, and wanted to ask anyway.

Of course you can.:)

(There may be exceptions, but I haven't run into any yet.)

Some apps do create a totally new app for a major revision, which you would have to buy separately, but they're few and far between in my experience.
