Lately at work, we've been working on attempting to wipe and reset iPads. There are a few that were labeled as "Unrepairable", as they would either be stuck in Recovery Mode (the Recovery Loop) or keep booting to the Apple logo and blacking out back and forth and back and forth. I am currently experimenting with one of the iPads; it's a 6th-generation Wi-Fi model. I tried using both the Finder in Mac OS 12 Monterey and Apple Configurator 2, but the restore and update attempts always fail (often with error code 4013). I also tried using Mac FoneLab and RecBoot with no luck. I even tried manually downloading the appropriate .ipsw file and restoring from that, but no luck. I attempted this both on my M1 MacBook Air and my 2012 15" unibody MacBook Pro. I am sure there's a way I can fix this, so we can get these iPads reset and ready to resell. Anyone have any suggestions/ideas?
